Miscanthus Season at Sunset Peak

I went to Sunset Peak during Hong Kong’s miscanthus season, when the slopes turn soft and golden under the winter sun. The trail was open and bright, with blue sky above the ridgeline and silvergrass moving along the path. It was one of those hikes where the scenery kept changing between close mountain textures and wide views over the sea.
The best part of Dadongshan was that contrast: dry grass, rocky trails, distant islands, and the feeling of walking between mountain and ocean. The route was not only about reaching the top, but also about slowing down in the wind and catching the season at exactly the right moment.
