Oct-2024 Classical Gardens of Suzhou, SJTU and FDU
Day 1 – Suzhou
It’s been a while since I last explored a new city, and today was all about Suzhou. The classical gardens were even more stunning than I imagined—peaceful, intricate, and full of charm. Every corner seemed like a painting. Lunchtime was a treat; Suzhou’s food is something I won’t forget anytime soon—so flavorful and comforting. As the evening rolled in, I found myself at Qili Shantang. The canal-side street came alive with lights reflecting on the water, bustling shops, and the warm buzz of visitors. It felt like stepping into a living postcard.
Day 2 – Shanghai
Shanghai was a nostalgic stop for me—I hadn’t been here since 2010! The city feels transformed, with skyscrapers rising high and neighborhoods blending the old and the new. I started the day visiting Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Fudan University. Walking through the campuses, I could feel the legacy of excellence and innovation. Later, I headed to the Bund, where the view took my breath away. The city lights, the majestic buildings—it all felt like the perfect way to end this short but memorable trip.
